Katrina (Katie) is a graduate of Northwestern University’s Doctorate of Physical Therapy program and joined our team in August of 2017. She received her B.S. from Central Michigan University (CMU) in Exercise Science. Katie is excited about continuing to develop and progress her abilities. Her experience and passion is geared toward young athletes. She is interested in merging her background in strength and conditioning in order to help patients of all ages return to the things they most enjoy.
Katie is currently working toward getting her certification as a manual therapist through the Manual Therapy Institute. This certification will help her gain more skills and knowledge specific toward orthopedic physical therapy. By May 2019, she will become certified in the Schroth-Barcelona method for young patients with scoliosis.
While at CMU, Katie was a member of the Women’s Ice Hockey Team. She also has experience participating in dance, softball, basketball, and volleyball. In her free time, Katie enjoys rock climbing, playing sports, exploring the city, hiking, reading, drawing and spending time with family in MI.
