All About Bunions
What is a bunion? A bunion is a bony bump beneath the skin on the inner side of the foot. This deformity affects the joint at the base of the big toe. A bunion starts small, but over time it can grow to become very large and painful. The visible bump reflects changes in the bony framework of the front part of the foot. A bunion forms when your big toe points toward the second toe and throws the bones out of alignment.
