IBJI’s Chief DXA Technologist, Larry Jankowski is the 2015 recipient of the Dr. Paul Miller Service Award from the International Society for Clinical Densitometry (ISCD). As part of the Illinois Bone & Joint Institute team for 16 years, Jankowski also served as treasurer of the ISCD for two years from 2009-2011.
Each year at the ISCD’s Annual Meeting, ISCD members are recognized for their distinguished service and dedication to the organization.
ISCD is a multidisciplinary, nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing excellence in the assessment of skeletal health by:
- Promoting education and a broader understanding of the clinical applications of bone mass measurement and other skeletal health assessment technologies.
- Assuring proficiency and quality in the assessment of skeletal health through certification and accreditation.
- Supporting clinical and scientific advances in the diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis.
- Promote appropriate patient access to bone mass measurement and other skeletal health assessment technologies.
