Biography

Angie Repel is a board‑certified family nurse practitioner with a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Rush University and a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Saint Louis University (cum laude), with a minor in theological studies.

During her training, Angie's DNP project focused on preventing knee injuries in young female athletes. This evidence‑based initiative translated the latest research on biomechanics and neuromuscular training into a practical program for teams and schools, helping reduce ACL and other lower‑extremity injuries while promoting confidence and long‑term athletic health.

Angie works closely with Dr. Ronak Patel, to provide integrated care for adolescents and adults—aligning non‑operative management, surgical planning when appropriate, and return‑to‑play guidance. She has also worked with Dr. Patel to support athlete care and injury‑prevention programming. That work continues to shape her approach today: blending data‑driven prevention with compassionate care, especially for musculoskeletal health, injury prevention, and safe return‑to‑play.

In practice, Angie prioritizes approachable, relationship‑centered care. She evaluates and manages common orthopedic and sports‑related concerns—including overuse injuries, sprains and strains, knee and shoulder pain, and activity‑related discomfort—while coordinating closely with Dr. Patel and the orthopedic surgical team when needed. Patients describe her style as warm, thorough, and empowering.
