Biography

Sam earned her bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She then graduated from the Doctor of Occupational Therapy program at Rush University. Sam discovered her interest in occupational therapy during her undergraduate years, having known many individuals who benefited from the profession. She completed her fieldwork at Illinois Bone & Joint Institute in Gurnee and her capstone at Midwest Orthopaedics, which deepened her interest in hand therapy. 

Sam is committed to delivering individualized, occupation-based care that supports patients in returning to the daily activities that matter most to them. She values collaboration with patients, their families, physicians, and the care team to create meaningful treatment plans that promote independence and improve overall quality of life. 

Outside of the clinic, Sam enjoys traveling, going for walks, golfing, going to farmers' markets, and spending time with family and friends.
