Segares has bone spurs removed from ankle Tuesday

Chicago Fire defender Gonzalo Segares underwent a successful procedure to remove a bone spur from his right ankle on Tuesday. The procedure was performed by Dr. Anand Vora of the Illinois Bone and Joint Institute.
Having experienced ankle pain since an injury in the team’s 1-1 draw March 16 at Portland, Segares has appeared in just five matches this season.
