The IBJI shuttle helped physically challenged festival-goers experience complete mobility over the Labor Day weekend. Buffalo Grove Chamber of Commerce volunteers drove.Illinois Bone & Joint Institute helped make navigating Buffalo Grove Days effortless for hundreds of walking-challenged attendees over the Labor Day holiday. IBJI sponsored the on-site shuttle – a golf cart driven by Buffalo Grove Chamber of Commerce volunteers – that zipped festival-goers all over the vast event, from bingo, beer gardens, and arts & crafts tent to music acts and carnival rides.
Amy Cassman, Physician Liaison at IBJI-Glenview/Wilmette/Buffalo Grove and a Buffalo Grove resident, says, “This is such a fun event, but the fairground is so large and can be hard to get around if you have trouble walking. We wanted to help people enjoy everything the festival had to offer.”
Amy also handed out hundreds of goody bags full of IBJI freebies like water bottles, pens, notepads and magnetic clips.
She says, “We want to support our patients and let everyone know all of the unique services IBJI offers.”
